3DRBI is recruiting building Inspector to help support compliance with building codes and standards in First Nations communities and municipalities through virtual visual inspections. This role is centred on public safety and regulatory compliance and requires at least five years of building inspection experience.

In this role, you will conduct virtual visual inspections of properties ranging from homes to commercial buildings to confirm compliance with building codes and safety standards. Key responsibilities include completing inspections, preparing reports, and assisting with enforcement activities. You will work under contract either 3DRBI or directly with the client.

Requirements

• College diploma in Architectural or Construction Engineering Technology

• At least five years of related building inspection experience

• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to review 3D images on a computer screen

• Membership in a provincial building official, architectural, or engineering association

• Professional liability or errors and omissions insurance

• Knowledge of municipal laws and standards

• Knowledge of First Nations governance and building construction and renovation practices

• Professional Liability Insurance (Errors & Omissions)

• General Liability Insurance
